Grandissimo got its first media notice on September 13, in John L. Smith’s column in the Las Vegas Review-Journal:

GRAND SARNO: After devouring a galley copy of David G. Schwartz’s new book on the wild life and times of casino man Jay Sarno, I can only say aficionados of Las Vegas history will love it when it becomes available in late October. It’s titled “Grandissimo: The First Emperor of Las Vegas.”
